metal mouth

Myself and quite a lot of other people have had teeth removed for getting braces fitted. I was told my mouth was too small for all my teeth....but why would my body make all these teeth if there wasn't any room for them...lies...all lies

'ring ring'

When I was wee my mum and dad took me to the hospital to get some teeth removed. The nurse had this toy phone and she handed it to me saying someone wanted to talk to me. I said 'hello' but there was no answer. As I tried to talk to the person on the other side, gas came out of the mouth piece and knocked me out. When I woke up I was given a cardboard cowboy hat to spit blood into. My mum and dad gave me a Barbie horse for being brave and I put the blood filled cowboy hat on my head.

teeth project

Working on a little project as part of my whole fourth year personal project....well its not that little. The idea behind all my fourth year work is capturing memories and this smaller part is about peoples memories of loosing teeth. I created this main print just for something to do but then had the idea to give each tooth a story. 16 became too much so instead I cut it down to 12 as I only had 12 interesting stories to tell...the gaps have become missing teeth. Unfortunately the quality of the screen print has been completely lost in scanning.

I was having a wee browse through all the work I had on my laptop and found my wee doggie. He was for a small book about counting and was for the number three.....I couldn't find an animal that naturally had three legs so I cut one of his off.

A wee book about bird watching

Dummy book done!Its not amazing...but its quite good. Would have been a whole lot better if the woman at the printing place could do her job properly...and if she hadn't charged me £32 for the print outs I could have re-did it. Anyway, still got my four colour double pages to do. Did plan to have them done by now but I've been lazy/'ill' *sigh* I'm actually sick of looking at that stupid dodo but my first wee attempt at a childrens book -done!

It's been a while

I had the best intentions to keep my blog up to date but it seems my blog head has wandered off somewhere. Been busy the past few days working on my dissertation (well I bought a notebook and wrote some words down) and my christmas project (faffing about on the internet pretending to myself that I'm doing research). So until my blog head comes back I'll just leave you with a picture of a donkey.
